Frames is a privacy-first tool for film photographers that brings structure, meaning and metadata back into the analogue process. It was built on the belief that each photo carries more than just an image. Frames lets you record the full context behind every shot, from camera, lens and film stock to exposure, location and personal notes. All this information can be merged non-destructively into your final scans, helping your images become rich, complete records.
There is no cloud, no accounts and no tracking. Everything stays local, giving you full ownership and control over your data. Frames supports a slower, more deliberate way of working, where attention to detail and intention come first.
The project started as a tribute to my father, who introduced me to photography through his old camera. Frames remains a highly personal and independent effort, shaped by years of iteration and thoughtful feedback from its users. It is built with care, not for scale but for those who value clarity, precision and lasting tools.
