I built Quilt because I kept running into content like textbooks, books and HTML based slides that I couldn't download and manually taking screenshots is very slow and repetitive. Especially with the AI revolution, learning content with the help of a LLM has never been more desirable.
Quilt automates the entire process:
– Capture any window, region, or the full screen
– Take screenshots at custom intervals
– Simulate key presses or mouse clicks between shots
– Export everything into a clean, searchable PDF (with on-device OCR)
It’s native, fast, and works fully offline with no subscriptions, no telemetry.
What I’m most proud of is how polished and simple it feels. What started as a tool for my own workflow has turned into something that’s helping students, researchers, and professionals archive hard-to-access content.
